Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF)

  • For teaching and learning enhancement projects, including those with an EDI focus

  • Up to $250,000 for Large TLEF projects and up to $50,000 for Small TLEF projects

  • UBC Vancouver instructors, staff, and students are eligible to apply as principal applicants for TLEF funding. If the Principal Applicant is a student, the application must be supported by a Co-applicant who is a faculty member.

Anti-Racism Initiative Fund 

SoTL Seed Fund

  • For projects that research and evaluate impactful pedagogies, including those with an EDI focus

  • Up to 70 hours for a SoTL Specialist, up to $200 for research expenses, and up to $500 for presentations in meetings/conferences

  • Biennial cycle

  • UBC Vancouver; priority is given to faculty members who teach at the undergraduate level and who have not had an active seed project in the last 12 months

TA Training Fund

Community-University Engagement Fund

  • Provides financial support for partnerships between UBC faculty, staff, and students, and a registered Canadian charity or other qualified donee based in British Columbia

  • Up to $15,000 for emerging partnerships and projects, and up to $30,000 for established partnerships
