Turnitin

Turnitin is a tool for determining the originality of students' work and generates a report for instructors to identify potential plagiarism. It compares students' work to its vast database, which consists of billions of web pages, previous student submissions, and thousands of periodicals, journals, and publications.

Submitting a Request

For instructors who are using Turnitin for the first time, you will need to request an account from LT Hub:

  1. Request an account through LT Hub's webform here.
  2. After LT Hub created your account, Turnitin will send you an email containing a link to validate your account using your email address and last name.
  3. You will receive a second email with a link to set up your password and a security question. Please ensure that your password is at least 8 characters in length, and contains at least one letter and one number.
  4. Once your account setup is complete, you can log in to Turnitin from turnitin.com.
